Wageningen Campus Summervibes
Save the date! A new music event will take place at Wageningen Campus on Thursday 22 June. The festival named 'Summervibes' will be free of charge for students and employees of WUR and all other organisations on Wageningen Campus. The festival concludes the Wageningen Campus Expedition, which takes place on Wageningen Campus in the week prior to the festival.
Summervibes offers the chance to celebrate the summer with your colleagues and fellow students while enjoying live music, and various foods & drinks. Celebrate life at Summervibes, and make the connection between various Wageningen Campus residents. Summervibes offers a great festival atmosphere, and a broad programme of live music and local festival DJs.
The programme of the day
- 3.00 PM - Walk in
- 3:15 PM - THUNK
A cover band with Wageningen roots. Vocals, keyboards, drums and lots of horns…. this band uses every inch of the stage!
- 5:15 PM - Kenny B
The Surinamese-Dutch hit singer with songs like “Parijs” and “Als je gaat”
- 7:00 PM - ABBA Tribute Band
Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Waterloo, Gimme!..... do we need to say more?
- 8:45 PM - Jazzalike
8-piece student party band who have previously performed at the Zwarte Cross and are well known at many student parties.
- 10:00 PM - DJ's MiniCulture

Planning to go with your colleagues?
There is a possibility to order coins and drink packages in advance. If you order the coins before June 17, you will receive a free ticket for the carousel with every 5 coins! The Summervibes drink package is suitable for 4 to 5 people, including nuts, olives, and a lot more and costs €16.-. Interested? Send an email to summervibes@wur.nl and indicate how many coins/drink packages you wish to receive. While supplies last!
Special presale at Forum
We would like to have a good indication of the number of people attending Summervibes to help us reduce food waste and help you avoid waiting in line for coins. Therefore, a special presale point will be set up on 19, 20 and 21 June between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM at Forum on the elevation of the entrance hall. During the presale you receive a free spin on the carousel with every 5 coins you buy.
Summervibes works with coins for payment at local drink and food stands. Each coin costs €2.25 and €0.10 goes to charity that is committed to preserving Tropical Rainforest in Costa Rica. For more information can be found on their website.
