Provincial executive opts for Alternative Existing Route
The Provincial Executive (GS) opts for the Alternative Existing Route (AER) to ensure Wageningen’s accessibility. This includes an underpass for motorised traffic on the Nijenoord Allee at the Nijenoord Allee/Churchillweg crossing, to allow cyclists safe and quick passage over the Nijenoord Allee. The option fort he AER offers the optimal balance between accessibility, sustainability, quality of life and environment. The AER ensures a better flow of traffic and cyclists.
With this decision, years of preparation is brought to a close, and the accessibility of all businesses, knowledge institutes and citizens of Wageningen can finally be improved.
