CHI Quartet is an international piano quartet based in Rotterdam. Macau-born pianist-composer SIU, Tin-Chi is trained in both classical and jazz as well as exposure to both the East and the West have given her music a unique sound palette that can be characterized as eclectically cosmopolitan.

Her own compositions, encapsulate her diverse musical influences: heart-melting classical melodies colored by intricate jazz harmonies, Indian and European folk rhythm elements intertwine with skillful Jazz improvisation. Her musical sonority is tender and atmospheric, but her statement is bold – that she will not be confined by any conventional genre typecasting. While her stylistic form and approach are evidently jazz-oriented, the undertone and inkling of neoclassical and oriental folk music are prevalent.
